Barclays is strengthening its metals and mining team by adding two new co-heads. Paul Knight will join as vice chairman and co-head of the metals team based out of Toronto. Mr. Knight brings 18 years of experience at UBS. Michael Rawlinson will be based in London, UK and comes from Liberum, the boutique investment bank he helped found in 2006.

Many banks in Canada have been shedding resource focused bankers and analysts over the past year, and it appears some of the smarter firms are picking up the cream of the crop (see CEO article on Haywood’s new oil and gas team here).
