PLS Summer Drill Program Map

This morning, Patterson Lake South Joint-Venture partners Alpha Minerals (AMW:TSXV) and Fission Uranium (FCU:TSXV) announced they had potentially found a fifth high-grade uranium zone as part of their 2013 drill campaign.  The most recent hole, PLS13-098, intersected 76m of total composite mineralization within a total 107.5m section (to vertical depth of 317m).  This adds to the original area of discovery and now the Patterson Lake South discovery has five areas of mineralization along a 1.2km trend.

This fifth mineralized find was located on line 585E which is halfway between R390E and R780E zones or 150m grid east of the edge of R390E (see map above).

The company notes that the geological setting is similar to that of R00E, R390E, R780E and R945E.  The company needs to complete significantly more infill drilling between these zones, but they have yet to find any fences containing the mineralization.

Shares of both FCU and AMW were relatively flat at press time, 7:20am PST Monday.
