Frontline, the venerable documentary film brand of the Public Broadcasting Service, aired a one hour special yesterday on the insider trading investigations centred around Stephen A. Cohen’s SAC Capital. The film, which includes the first footage we have ever seen of Cohen, at his 2011 FBI deposition relating to the allegations against his firm, also covers the downfall of Raj Rajartnam, another billionaire Wall Street Hedge Fund Manager, and takes a closer look at the so called “expert firms” which pair fund managers with personnel from inside industry to share information. To Catch a Trader contains unprecedented footage and wiretaps capturing some of the illicit behaviour. We recommend all readers check out the film made possible by contributions to PBS from viewers like you.
