The China Gold Stone Mining Development tender offer for Allied Nevada appears to be bogus.

Allied Nevada just put a press release out calling into question the credibility of the offer.

Newswires have begun removing the original release from their Web sites following a retraction from China Gold Stone citing a failure to consult counsel before issuing the release.

Scotia Capital may have been the first to sound a warning about China Gold Stone, telling clients in a note the offer was non compliant with securities laws and that they had never heard of China Gold Stone.

China Gold Stone cited a relationship with China National Gold in their press release.

We heard second hand Tuesday that China National has no idea who China Gold Stone is.

While we wait for further clarity on this matter I would like to apologize for posting the news earlier.

Shares in Allied Nevada were still up approx. 10% on the day at press time.
