Junior graphite explorer, Graphite One (GPH:TSXV) has been able to attract a legend in the resource business; Robert Cross, to their Advisory Board.  Mr. Cross is the chairman of B2Gold (BTO:TSX) and founder of Bankers Petroleum (BNK:TSX) and BNK Petroleum (BKX:TSX).  He was also chairman of Northern Orion Resources leading to its takeover by Yamana in 2007 for over $1 billion.  Between 1996 and 1998, Mr. Cross was chairman and CEO of Yorkton Securities, and from 1987 to 1994 he was a partner, investment banking, of Gordon Capital Corp.

It seems like the company is changing its leadership and last week appointed Anthony Huston as CEO and Doug Smith as Chairman, replacing Charles Cherby.  Mr. Cross joins John Williamson and John Robbins on Graphite One's Advisory Board.

Graphite One holds the Graphite Creek Deposit which is one of North America’s largest known large flake graphite deposits. Based on drilling 4.8km of an 18km strike length, Graphite Creek has an NI 43-101 inferred resource of 284.71Mt at 4.5% graphite (including 37.68 million tonnes at 9.2% graphite and 8.63 million tonnes at 12.8% graphite).
