Renowned Chinese journalist Chai Jing has produced a groundbreaking documentary on China's pollution problems. The film has received almost 80 million views on youkou (Chinese version of Youtube) and is being discussed just about everywhere in Asia.

Even Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s HK research team called this a ‘turning point’ in their daily research note yesterday.

What's important is that the documentary, which Chai Jing self-produced, and the discussion it has inspired, is that it has not been censored, suggesting it is a government supported topic. The People’s Consultative Committee session is coming up and I expect we will see more anti-pollution sentiment.

I believe 2015-2025 will be the period that China gets clean. The documentary discusses increasing the use of natural gas but that will be difficult for China as they lack the large water resources required for gas production from shale resources... Nuclear is their tool!
