"Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with their song still in them." Henry David Thoreau

In the inspirational read "The Aladdin Factor", written by Canfield and Hanson, the authors point out that "Many of us don't know what to ask for" anymore. "Either we don't know what is available to us because we have never been exposed to it, or we are so out of touch with ourselves that we no longer are able to perceive our real needs and wants."

Indeed, Canfield and Hanson's observation is further affirmed by Henry David Thoreau's classic words, "Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with their song still in them."

How can you and I avoid such a tragic fate? How can we ask penetrating questions of ourselves and those around us, to uncover deeper meaning and our full potential?

I got to thinking of a short list to begin applying to my own life, and maybe we can consider a few of the following questions to help kickstart an internal dialogue….

How can we earn more to have more?
How can we serve?
How many more can we serve? How can we increase that number?
How can we see?
How can we understand?
How can we change?
How can we reduce risk for our life, business, and community partners?
How can we exceed expectation?

How can we leave behind a fountain of sustaining value?

"If you don't ask, you don't get."
