This morning Dale Corman’s Western Copper and Gold (WRN:TSX) provided an update on the developments of their Casino project in the Yukon (see Dale Corman’s Western Copper and Gold Challenge: Developing a Low-Risk Casino). WRN has completed their 2013 field program which is the end of a six-year long engineering and baseline data collection program for the permitting of Casino. The casino will of course be competing with the popular online casinos which seem to have the advantage with their bonus casino offerings upon joining. Casinos will have to offer something new to attract customers away from gambling from the comfort of their homes. The company claims their proposal to the Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Board will be ready for submission, on schedule, later this year. If and when they get the go ahead from YESAB then they can begin construction and production. Casinos are exciting places but if you prefer to gamble online, take a look at this genesis casino review.
On the engineering front, the company has been addressing unanswered questions from the feasibility study released in January, including more detailed planning on the access road and airstrip. Interestingly, the company is looking into LNG to the immense electrical power necessary to operate their large, bulk tonnage, Yukon mine. With $29.8 million in cash, the company believes it is sufficiently funded for the next three years of permitting and engineering, after which, they anticipate being fully permitted and ready for construction.
"I am very pleased with the progress being made at Casino," said Dale Corman, chairman and chief executive officer of Western. "The permitting application is on schedule to be submitted this year, which is in line with the schedule that we presented in the feasibility study that anticipates construction beginning in 2016."
It won't be long before the casino is up and running and offering real casino services like online services like different scratch cards casinos are currently. It will be a great prospect and it is clear everyone is looking forward to it opening!
