Mickey Fulp, the Mercenary Geologist: TSXV changes needed.

Thursday night the TSX Venture held a town-hall meeting to gather feedback on how best to revitalize the exchange amidst a gruelling bear market for juniors. The topic trended on chat.ceo.ca as a number of our regulars chimed in on the raucous event.

In case you missed it, we tagged it#tsxvtownhall on chat.ceo.ca. You'll find most of the conversation there.

We also caught up with Don Mosher, the President of the Venture Capital Markets Association, after the meeting, who called it "rowdy" in a CEO.ca podcast:

Mickey Fulp, the Mercenary Geologist, also weighed in: "There were a few people loaded for bear, so to speak, and you could probably include me in that group." He called for a ban on naked short selling and criticized the fact the TXSV is run by a public company listed on its own exchange.

Lots of talk about reinstating the uptick rule. We reached out to the Venture's President, John McCoach, and we'll update you when we hear back.
